Andy Ferreira is a guitarist based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A while back, we shared a video of Andy playing some funky envelope filter slap guitar that had left us wanting to hear #moremoremore! Since then, several people have asked Andy for the Mobius settings he used to get the sound. Andy was kind enough to share those settings with us, so we are sharing them with you here. But first, check out the video below to hear the preset (and Andy) in action.

The image below shows the knob settings and secondary parameters. Dial it up on your Mobius and get your funk on!
When using the Env+ or En– waveshapes, the SPEED knob controls how quickly the filter follows the envelope. This setting is not affected by the tapped tempo.
Andy told us that his DEPTH setting changes depending on the output of the guitar he’s using. That’s because the DEPTH knob becomes a sensitivity control when using the Env+ or Env- waveshapes. This allows you to set the response of the filter to your playing dynamics and your instrument/pickups. Higher DEPTH settings work well for weaker input signals, while hotter inputs may require lower settings. We tried this out with a single-coil Strat, and it sounded good with the DEPTH turned all the way up. You may need to back off the DEPTH if you are using some hot humbuckers.

Can someone body tell me if the Mobius can achieve the Jerry Garcia Mutron sound or the John Mayer Q Tron + sound? And if so, can you share the setting’s
Thanks
@Adam – I just replied to your email! Yes, you can achieve similar style sounds with the Mobius’ FILTER machine set to ENV+ mode in the PARAMS menu. The exact settings are really dependent on the output level of your signal into the Mobius’ LEFT INPUT and the sound you are going for. Use the DEPTH knob to set the response of the FILTER to your playing dynamics and the SPEED knob controls how quickly the filter follows the envelope. You may want to set the SPEED high for a faster response. You can start with the F MID parameter in the middle and tailor it for the sound you are looking for.
