Heard some rumors floating around the web of new Strymon pedals coming out soon? Something to do with MIDI and additional features, perhaps? Well folks, wonder no more! The day many of you, and all of us here at Strymon, have patiently awaited for is upon us.

We’re beyond stoked to present to you the new and improved next-generation versions of blueSky, El Capistan, Flint, Deco, DIG, and Lex.

This new generation features added controls for each pedal, full MIDI implementation that allows for control over all parameters and up to 300 presets, as well as hardware upgrades such as an external Input switch to determine between mono or TRS stereo input, and an all-analog JFET front end that gives increased responsiveness and dynamic feel. Everything you know and love about the previous versions was kept, and taken to the next level with added control and functionality!

blueSky — Ultimate Reverb Bliss.

El Capistan — Vintage Echo Machine.

El Capistan provides three different tape machine types in one pedal, each with three unique modes and extensive control over tape quality, machine health and tone shaping. Flint — Iconic Effects Pairing.

Flint gives you the pulsating, soothingly hypnotic effects pioneered in vintage amplifier tremolo circuits, along with three classic and completely unique reverb algorithms. We carefully studied our favorite classic tremolo and reverb circuits, examined the sonic complexities and faithfully accounted for every detail in our hand-crafted algorithms. Flint is two pedals in one, with tremolo on one half and reverb on the other, capable of instantly transporting you to some of the warmest tones of yesteryear.

Deco – Mid Century Maverick.

Deco takes you back in time, giving you vintage tape effects from the earliest recording studios, right on your pedalboard. Deco’s Tape Saturation smooths out your sound with familiar and delicious tape compression and saturation, while fattening your tone with subtle tape-driven transparent overdrive. The Doubletracker provides the power to shift your sound in many ways, easily allowing you to achieve syrupy slapback tape echoes, psychedelic tape flanging, and gorgeous tape chorusing sounds.

DIG — Dual Digital Delay.

DIG unearths the true soul of digital delay and doubles it — two simultaneous, integrated delays with captivating rack delay voicings from the 1980s and today, for incredible expressive potential. Effortlessly create your own world of intricate and synchronized echoes, along with hypnotic and atmospheric repeats that blur the line between delay and reverb. Stretch your sonic horizons with five musically satisfying rhythmic subdivisions and three dual delay routing options. Lex — The Complete Rotary Speaker Experience.

Lex provides you with a complete, accurately reproduced rotary speaker system: the low-frequency bass rotor, the rotating treble horn, the tube-driven amplifier, finely tuned microphone placement, and all the complex sonic interactions between these elements. Powerful, intuitive controls mean you can quickly dial in just the customized sound you desire. 

What’s New For The Line:

The new pedals – DIG, Flint, El Capistan, Deco, Lex and blueSky – are updated versions of some of Strymon’s most popular models, and now feature a USB-C connection for updating firmware and MIDI communication, a TRS MIDI jack for bidirectional MIDI communication, full stereo   inputs and outputs with a rear-panel Mono/Stereo switch, a premium JFET input circuit for the ultimate in tone and touch response, robust MIDI implementation allowing MIDI clock sync and onboard storage for up to 300 presets, and a powerful new ARM processor that has more power and consumes less energy than previous iterations. The user interface for each pedal has also been updated to provide easier and deeper control of important parameters, allowing users to get to their favorite (and undiscovered) sounds faster and easier than ever before.
